UR Evolution Sports is an initiative of the Urban Rec Society, a not for profit organization founded to work in alignment with the Sport For Life model in advancing recreational sport participation, sport infrastructure and employment opportunities in the recreational sports space so that everyone can engage in sports for life. With the UR Evolutions Sports program, we are targeting the creation of Co-Ed recreational sport opportunities for High School Aged kids because that is where statistically, we are seeing a drop off in participation rates with the primary reason being that kids just are not having fun in sports anymore. While so many kids sports initiatives target U12 programming, we see a void in the offerings available to this High School Age group and we intend to fill that void with fun programming that keep kids playing.

Imagine a higher percentage of youth choosing to stay active through the school years. A successful, positive experience in sport can make that happen.

We partner with sport organizations, governments, and leaders to build better sport through gender equity. We’re experts on systemic change and strive to build a stronger, more equitable sport system for girls and women and for all Canadians.

Project Play develops, applies and shares knowledge that helps stakeholders build healthy communities through sports. Sport For All, Play for Life.

Our goal is moderate growth, spread positive influence, and become a beacon in youth sports communities around the world.

The mission of the Changing the Game Project is to ensure that we return youth sports to our children, and put the ‘play’ back in ‘play ball.’
